One of the best aspects of our new little slice of land, is our little Meyer Lemon tree. It's not the prettiest tree you'll ever see, but boy does it make fine lemons. I have always, ALWAYS wanted to live in a house that had some type of citrus tree and it is truly a small dream come true to walk into my back yard and grab a handful to make a pitcher of lemonade.
BTW, why are lemons ripe in the middle of winter when you really need them most in the summer? Hmmmm??

How fun! I love the pictures. REALLY makes me want to live in a house :).
And yes, citrus is a winter thing. Kinda weird. Oranges remind me of Christmas but they sound yummiest on a hot summer day. You're so right.
Sorry, a couple typos later...
I remember you touting that juicer at the Favorite Things party last year. Way to put it to use.
I'm impressed with your picture of the lemonade and lemons. With the natural light and the way you had everything set up, not to mention your totally cute tiled back splash, I think you could use it in a print ad for Splenda or something. Happy squeezing!
Okay I am jealous! I love lemons. I also have that tool but I only get to use it when squeezing limes or lemons for salmon or tacos. How nice to live in a place like that!
I am jealous! I did that straightening thing to Jane a few times, it looks ridiculous. THose girls are all curls and I love them for it! How you been?
Hey Erica!
I found you through Kristi's blog. June is so cute. I'm sad I never got to meet her before we moved. It looks like you guys moved, too. Are you still in the E. Pas. ward? I love that blogging makes finding and keeping in touch with people so easy!

mmmmmm... that lemonade looks so refreshing! I had never heard of Meyer lemons until I saw cupcakes made with them on Martha Stewart last year. Very cool that you actually grow them!
Hey Erica, I don't know if you remember me, but I am one of Nate's old friends from BYU. I met you in the singles ward once, but I just had to say June is way to cute with that curly hair. My oldest (Noah) is 2 and he has curls as well. Not as curly as June's (which by the way I loved the flat iron idea :), but I love it and hope it stays that way. Good to see yall are doing well. Take care.
You are such a great little homemaker. How fun...homemade lemonade right from your backyard ...No wonder you love California so much
