She loves Santa, she loves him not

It's been all things Santa in our house the past few weeks. Curly has been so excited about Christmas this year and has been looking forward to seeing Santa at our ward party. But when Santa came out and sat on the stage Curly froze; she no longer wanted ANYTHING to do with him.
Of course dad and I tried everything we could to get her to go up and sit on Santa's lap, knowing she would be really disappointed if she didn't. Nothing we said would change her mind. Luckily a friend from the ward was gracious enough to encourage her up there. He was so patient with her, slowly walking her closer and closer to Santa.
Definitely very apprehensive
When she finally got up there she was still VERY freaked out
A little a little worried, but better.
TA DA, happy as can be!!!

I'm glad she got up the nerve to do it. She was so proud of herself and I have wonderful pics to remember the fun moment of the two of them together.

5 years and counting!!

This past Friday was our 5th anniversary. The years have definitely FLOWN by!!
I loved Nate so very much when we were first married; I would never have guessed I would grow to love him more and more with every passing year.
Thanks for being a great (and patient) husband, a truly amazing dad, the hardest worker I have ever met, a goof that I can laugh with and at, the cleanest male I know :)... and my best and dearest Friend!!

I don't know how we would do it without you!

Cute girl

This evening I was sitting on Curly's bed responding to some e-mails while she was in the room playing with her toys. She was really quiet for about 15 minutes then walked over to me and said, "prayer" and pointed to her Christmas figurines. This is what I found...

A baby blessing!!
I guess she's seen more than a few of these over the past few months. It's amazing what she picks up.
I love her!!!

Underwood Farms

I can't believe it's already been over a year since we were here last.
Big pumpkins
My little pumpkin

We'll be back next year!

The world through Curly's eyes

Curly loves to take the camera and snap away. I usually delete all the pictures she takes but this time I thought I would post a few.
She told me to stand in line and say cheese!

She cracks me up!

Hide and seek

Just about every night Dad gets Curly ready for bed and then calls me into the room to say prayers. I usually have to look around for a bit to find them. Sometimes they are behind the door but most of the time they are hidden under blankets on the bed. Tonight they couldn't be found...

Until I looked in the little man's crib. Clever, very clever!!

I can't get enough of this little guy

Just about everyone thinks he looks a lot like Curly, I couldn't agree more!

a blessing

This past weekend we blessed our new little friend. It was a wonderful time with family. I wish we could find reasons to see them more often, we're always very sad to see them go.

Uncle Ben/Aunt Becca and Grandpa are true masters when it comes to capturing these fun moments together. Here are only two of the many pics BandB took while they were here.
Thanks for being willing to travel such long distances to spend time with us!!

Where did this kid come from?? 12 pounds to date

We sure love all 12 pounds of him!

House

Our house has been through a lot over the past year
This is what it looked like when we bought it...

After some serious weeding...

And now, after a great paint job and new windows...

We still need to do a LOT of landscaping, but that will come next year.

Thanks dad for all your hard work.

little helper

Yes, it is much more difficult with two, but thankfully I have a 2nd momma around to help out
I don't know what I would do without this little girl...
I came into the bedroom and found her reading to the baby, awww cute!
And sadly, he hasn't really taken to the swing yet so he often gets frustrated when he's in it. A few days ago I found Curly holding the pacifier in his mouth to keep him from crying.
Thanks for being a great big sister!
