My first quilt

I've always wanted to make a quilt. My mom has made some cute ones in the past and I've always thought it would be fun to try it out. I found out very quickly that it's definitely a labor of love, but worth every second. I didn't follow a pattern, I figured I'd just go with the flow, luckily I think it turned out pretty cute.

I actually made this one for Curly's up coming birthday, but I told her when I started it that it was for her, so she would stand by me as I was working on it and say - mine, mine! I couldn't resist giving it to her just a little early.

Stay tuned for the next one... I already have big plans!!

You did it! SO cute!!
So many things I love about it:
* the bright colors
* the Spiral Square quilting thing. Cool idea
* the 1/3, 2/3 fabric backing. Another cool idea
* the CUTE June to go on top!!
Seriously, you did a really good job. I love it. You've inspired me.
And I'm bringing your book back to you tomorrow. Thanks! :)

I have been thinking how fun it would be to quilt--but haven't dared try it. You might inspire me. I got your blog off your mom's- its fun to read about you and your precious little one!

Erica-

This is amazing!

Glad you checked out my blog--I think it's always such fun to see what everyone is up to.

I am very impressed with your talent. I just need to know if you did the quilting by hand or with a machine? Either way, I'm stunned!

We should all get together again; next time we arrange something, I will get your contact info from Tauna.

happy Haunting!
